Perforator is a rhythmic gating audio effect designed as an AUv3 Audio Unit plugin. This innovative tool offers a variety of features that allow users to creatively manipulate incoming audio, producing rhythmic patterns from sustained sounds.

With Perforator, users can finely adjust slice envelopes to achieve a range of effects, from classic staccato "trance gate" sounds to simulating pumping sidechain compression techniques. The plugin includes two gating mechanisms: an AMP EG gate, providing a traditional gating method, and a 12dB/Oct lowpass filter that swiftly eliminates high frequencies to effectively mute them.

Works as an AUv3 Audio Effect in all hosts compatible with AU plugins.
Automatically synchronizes with the tempo of your project.
Allows independent editing of the Left and Right channels.
Comes with a convenient built-in preset manager containing numerous factory presets.
Exposes all AU Parameters for seamless host automation.

Additionally, Perforator offers a valuable Bonus Feature: AU MIDI output. This feature enables the envelopes of both channels (L+R) to output their values as MIDI CC messages. This functionality allows users to replicate 'parameter lock' messages found in other plugins and applications. Please note that this feature requires iOS11+ and a host application that supports AU MIDI from effects.
