Perforator is a rhythmic gating audio effect designed as an AUv3 Audio Unit plugin. This innovative tool offers a variety of features that allow users to creatively manipulate incoming audio, producing rhythmic patterns from sustained sounds.

With Perforator, users can finely adjust slice envelopes to achieve a range of effects, from classic staccato "trance gate" sounds to simulating pumping sidechain compression techniques. The plugin includes two gating mechanisms: an AMP EG gate, providing a traditional gating method, and a 12dB/Oct lowpass filter that swiftly eliminates high frequencies to effectively mute them.

This functionality allows users to replicate 'parameter lock' messages found in other plugins and applications. Please note that this feature requires iOS11+ and a host application that supports AU MIDI from effects.
